On this tour we will visit the Garni, Geghard and Azat river valleys, where there are many historical and natural monuments. First, we will visit one of the famous monasteries of the 13th century, Geghardavank, then the village of Garni, There are many famous and not so famous monuments there. We will go on a short walking tour during which we will visit the famous Garni pagan temple and the Stone Symphony Orchestra. The Arch of Charents will stop and from there will be a breathtaking view.

Stopover: The Monastery of Geghard, Near Goght Village, Geghard Armenia

Geghard Abbey is a medieval monastery in the province of Kotek, partly carved out of the neighbouring mountains and surrounded by cliffs. The name Geghard, or more fully Geghardavank, which means "monastery of spears", is derived from the spear that stabbed Jesus during his crucifixion. It is believed that the spear was brought to Armenia by the Apostle Jude, who was known here as Thaddeus, and was stored with many other relics. Now it is on display in the Echmiadzin treasury. The monastic complex is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its conservation status is strengthened.

Stop: Charent's Arch, Garni Armenia

Driving along the Yerevan-Garni highway, you can see the Charents Arch on a hill on the right side of the road. The monument is named after the great Armenian poet and great patriot Yeghishe Charents. It is believed that he was a frequent visitor to this place and loved to enjoy the strange scenery that opened up from here. The stone archway looks simple at first glance, but it is actually a very interesting monument. In fact, there is a full day of breathtaking views of the biblical great Mount Ararat. Hence, the second name of this monument is the Arc de Triomphe of Ararat. This place is the most popular and popular attraction. Tourists visiting Armenia come here to enjoy the stunning views and take pictures.

Stop: Symphony of Stones, 4P8R+8HM, Garni 2215, Armenia

The Stone Symphony or "Basalt Organ" is a natural monument located in the Azat River basin in the area of the village of Ghani. It is listed on the RA Natural Monuments List. The monument consists of huge symmetrical hexagonal and pentagonal basalt columns (almost 50 meters high) and appears to have been handmade due to its striking symmetry. These stones suspended against gravity resemble an organ, which explains why it is also known as a "basalt organ pipe". The Azat River flows through the gorge, and the sound of water fills the rocky landscape.
